First Generation



1. ?? Sizemore was born Abt. ??, and died Abt. 1937 in Thomaston, Upson Co., GA. He married ??. Raised family on Highway 19 near Thomasville, GA. (Moultrie?) Sizemore was Cherokee Indian.
     
Children of ?? Sizemore and ?? are:

Ida SIZEMORE born about ?? and died about 1976 in Greenville SC, buried at ?? near Thomaston, Upson County, GA. She married James?? Walden, one child of that union (Thelma) and later married Arthur Pinson and had five Pinson children, Ethel, Dorothy (Dot), DeWitt b. Dec1924, Bernice, Lerline b.Jul1931.

Lee SIZEMORE - married ? Spradlin, children Alma, Lillie, Margaret, Bronzel, J.T. Live near Columbus, GA

John SIZEMORE - married? John was a barber. His son, Jack, was a pharmacist. Both from Greenville, SC

Doc SIZEMORE - bondsman from Greenville, SC

Teat SIZEMORE - married ?? Stubbs, children Roscoe, Floy, Revell. Lived in Thomaston, GA

Ashby SIZEMORE - Columbus, GA, married Leala ?

 


Second Generation

Unknown (James, Jim?) Walden and Ida Sizemore had one daughter, Thelma Nazarine Walden, b. about 1911, married Lon Jack Scroggins about 1930, and died about 15-Jun-1931 in childbirth.

Arthur Pinson and Ida Sizemore had the following children: (photo coming soon)

1. Ethel Pinson married Mutt Fallin, one son Jeff and one daughter Myrna.

2. Dorothy Pinson married Ross Daniel, four daughters, Thelma, Mildred, Maggie, Faye.

3. Arthur DeWitt Pinson, born 28-Dec-1924, married Marvell Taylor, two daughters, Pam b.1958, and Denise b.1961.

4. Bernice Pinson married Bill Davis, 3 children, Douglas, Donald, and Debbie. Bill Davis' family was from Molena in Pike Co. GA. After leaving the US Navy in 1948, he attended the University of GA and roomed with LJ Scroggins for one quarter before bringing his wife Bernice there to live at which point LJ moved to a boarding house. 5. Lerline Pinson, born July 1931, married Felton Tidwell, one son Harold and one daughter, Vickie.

6. Lon Jack Scroggins, Jr., b. 15-Jun-1931, married Marion Jones, two sons, Steve and John.

Arthur Pinson and Ida Sizemore met working in a cotton mill in Sylacauga, AL. They married and had several children there before moving to Thomaston GA to work at the Martha Mill. They lived for some years on a farm near Molena (Pike Co.), then moved into the city limits of Thomaston around 1947.
